How it works
Set it up once. Then just drive.
No logbook, no app to open before each trip. The record builds itself from the vehicle's own data.
Plug in the adapter
It goes into the diagnostic port under the dashboard, the same port your mechanic uses. It sleeps when the vehicle is off.
Set up the app one time
Three taps on your iPhone connect the adapter and confirm your vehicle. After that, the app works in the background.
Drive as usual
Each drive records itself, with the phone locked in your pocket. Voltage, temperatures, engine load, distance: drive after drive, week after week.
For shops
See your customers' vehicles, sorted by what needs attention.
When a customer shares a vehicle with your shop, its record opens on your phone in the bay and on your computer at the counter.
- Findings with evidence. Each finding shows the drives and dates behind it, so the conversation with your customer starts from facts.
- Since the last visit. Drives, miles, and changes since the vehicle was last in your bay.
- Before and after. Log a repair and see whether the readings changed afterward.
- A summary for your customer. Plain words, sent to the owner's app.
For owners
Your vehicle's history, in one place, under your control.
You see what your vehicle reports, drive by drive. You decide which shop sees it.
- You choose the shop. Share your vehicle with a shop by its code. Stop the sharing at any time.
- Read-only. CarChart reads data from your vehicle. It never changes a setting in your vehicle and never clears a code.
- Honest about gaps. When a drive was not recorded, the record says so and shows how far the vehicle went.
